So how will the yummy brains at the TSA respond to this new threat? Well let’s look at their track record so far.

When terrorists tried blowing up a plane with a shoe bomb we had to take off our shoes at security. When terrorists wanted to bring liquid components onto planes and try to assemble the bomb on board we were not allowed to carry liquids on planes. When the underwear bomber failed the TSA started plans to use full body scanners and conduct grope sessions at security checkpoints.

So what is the obvious TSA response to implanted bombs? Well duh! Obviously random dissections of passengers!

Excuse me sir? Yes you, the 53 year old gray haired grandfather. You have been selected for our enhanced internal cavity screening. Please kiss you wife and children goodbye as you will not likely survive the procedure. But the plane will be safe!

And I am sure that “Blogger Bob” over at the TSA’s official blog will tell us all how this is constitutional and to stop complaining. Hey. It is what he does. It is what his handlers tell him to do.

The official line on this incident? Get this!

Prosecutors said there are no state charges for having the unarmed launcher or possessing Jihadist writings, unless they contain some type of threat.

Uh, HELLO! What kinds of RETARDS do we have running this show anyway? A “Jihadist” by definition is one that wants to kill infidels! That’s not a threat? Boy I feel safer knowing these yummybrains are on the case!

Time to arm up America. Get your guns ready because apparently our governments are not going to protect us so we have to protect ourselves. I think I’ll go clean my .308 and double check to make sure it is ready one more time.

Now, I know what some people are saying about this incident and that it is basically a non-incident because the launcher found was an AT-4 and it was already spent and thus worthless.  So I went to three separate sources (one current military and two ex-military) who know a thing or two about ordinance and weapons to find out the truth.  Since I am not in the business of giving terrorists ideas the specifics of what I found out will not be discussed.  However in general all three agreed that this is a serious incident due to certain things.

First, your average terrorist isn’t that bright and might not know that you cannot flat out “reload” these suckers.  All three agreed that this bozo might have been thinking that he could actually reload it. Does that make him less dangerous if so? None thought so.

Second, that while it cannot be reloaded to work as it originally did, the tube is designed to take the force of an explosion and a rocket launch thus making it possible that this “jihadist” would try to reload it with a different ordinance.

Third, that the tube could be repurposed into another weapon such as a bomb or other such explosive.  Apparently, gee – who would of thunk, these Islamic wackos are pretty good at scavenging and using equipment in ways other than it is intended. They are kind of like evil Boy Scouts who have been turned to the Dark Side in this respect. I was given several examples of how this could be done, but again since I am not in the business of giving terrorists ideas I will forgo further details.

Fourth, that it is highly likely that this could be a test to see how authorities would react to this incident upon finding such an item along with radical writtings and see if they would actually think it was anything important. If not? Well then terrorists now know to keep these things in a pre-repruposed state to avoid charges and further scrutiny.

Fifth, that the second “jihadist” writings were found this should have been treated much more seriously than it appears to be and that people poo pooing this incident because it was not an active launcher should actually think about what we know about how terrorists act.

Some people, I think, just don’t take terrorists seriously enough and are trying to convince others not to as well.  Their reasons are their own for doing this I suppose but when I have military people that I trust telling me that this is a big old red flag, I tend to take notice. No matter what the apologists may say. Sure it may be nothing. But all sorts of alarms are going off right now and this does need to be looked into more than what it appears to be.

But it sure would be an interesting accusation to make considering a report that the government had lots of intel on a Nigerian who was being prepped for an attack.

The U.S. government had intelligence from Yemen before Christmas that leaders of a branch of Al Qaeda there were talking about “a Nigerian” being prepared for a terrorist attack, the New York Times reported Tuesday.

A senior official told the Times that President Obama was told in a private meeting Tuesday while vacationing in Hawaii that the government had a variety of information in its possession before the failed bombing on a Detroit-bound flight last week that would have been a clear warning sign had it been shared among intelligence agencies.

If this story is true, it looks like we haven’t learned too much. The wall between agencies erected under President Clinton kept many of the dots from being connected prior to 9/11/01. Now we have what looks like that same failure cropping up once again not just with letting this nutjob Muslim jihadist board and airliner but, as you will recall, with Malik Nadal Hasan who went on his own Islamic inspired rampage not long ago on a military base.

For Hasan, there were many warning signs but no one took action. Many pieces of information were not shared with other people involved and he was just passed on through the system until he killed a bunch of soldiers in the name of his god. For Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the failed suicide bomber from the Chicago flight, we have reports that different agencies had been warned and that perhaps Umar was even being watched but no one put two and two together before he boarded a plane? Talk about letting terrorism happen!

At least when it came to President Bush you had reasons for why the Sept 11th attacks went off. You had Al Gore suing and Clinton administration officials refusing to hand over keys to government agencies to President Bush while we played a silly game in Florida of recounting ballots, changing rules, recounting ballots, changing rules, and so on trying desperately to find Al Gore enough votes to win the election. Something, I remind you, that never happened as much as the liberal moonbats decry the Supreme Court stepping in and telling Florida to follow its own laws instead of new standards put in place to generate a specific result. This all prevented the Bush administration from getting much of its own personnel in place and put them behind by upwards of three to six months. Then you had, as I previously mentioned, all the bureaucratic crap put in place by the Clinton administration which had to be unwound and which kept agencies from sharing info more easily. But all that was taken care of so what is the problem now?

LIHOP (let it happen on purpose) emerged among the truthers as the prominent theory among the Truthers drowing out the even more insane and unprovable made it happen on purpose (MIHOP) following 9/11. Basically, in a nut shell, the nuts themselves decided that President Bush let 9/11 happen. Take your pick of reasons why.

Let’s delve into the minds of a 9/11 Truther and play out what they should be saying today if they were honest.

President Obama, sitting in the Oval Office, watching his poll ratings plummet with many key pieces of his agenda stuck in Congress and disapproved of by the American people, needs a crisis. He saw how 9/11 helped his predecessor and how high his popularity was after America was attacked and thousands of civilians killed.  He thinks that this is his way to popularity as well.

He had tried to boost his approval just a few weeks earlier by letting another terrorist run loose on a military base. That had not worked well at all and he figured that now he needed something bigger. After all, he thought, Americans hate the military just like he does. So a bunch of soldiers getting killed was probably not enough to rally America behind him.

Sitting on his desk is a report. Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab has been identified by the CIA as preparing to blow up an American airliner headed for the United States. Reports are unclear, but it looks like either a flight into New York or Chicago will be the target. The date is either Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.  He is heading for Denmark with a bomb made up of high explosives sewn into his underwear and several bribes have been paid to make sure he skirts through security.

Agents are ready to swoop in.

President Obama picks up the phone and places a call to someone; who we don’t know. But we do know what the orders were and that it was in mid November of 2009. Possibly the 22nd. Agents were to stand down and drop their surveillance of Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab. There are protests, but President Obama reminds the person on the other end of the line who is giving the order.

On Christmas Day Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab boards Northwest Airlines flight 253. Agents are no longer tailing him and his location is unknown. He is ready to become a martyr for Allah unknowing that the only reason he has gotten this far is because of friends in high places seeking to use him and his plans for political gain.

As the plane prepares to land, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab attempts to detonate the bomb. But he fails. No boom. Just a bunch of fire and smoke as passengers rush in to subdue him.

The plane lands and President Obama, informed of the incident, sighs and opens his desk drawer looking longingly at a prepared speech he had his speechwriters spend weeks writing and rewritting for when the time had come. He closes the desk drawer and turns to a stack of new reports just placed on his desk this morning concerning terrorist planning further plots …

Ok, now I am not saying this is what happened. Just to be clear. I am saying that this is what the kook conspiracy theorists who spent so much time ignoring the evidence about what really happened on 9/11/01 SHOULD be saying right about now. That is, IF they really weren’t the partisan hacks I know them to be.

My opinion is that this event is just further incompetence by a man and his fellow travelers who willingly refuse to take the threat of terrorism seriously.  And eventually it will cost us all dearly.

Stop sending me emails telling me how you think he is finally coming around. You will look foolish when you see that Obama has not changed.

President Obama addressed the failed terrorist attack on Christmas Day yesterday with lots of strong sounding words which apparently took his speach writters several days to cobble together. Have we not seen that there is often a disconnect between his words and his deeds however? Those of you falling for the Obama is getting serious about the War on Terror spin because of one speech days after a failed attack in which a known radical Muslim was allowed on a plane bound for the United States are the same wacky sorts that fell for his lofty rhetoric during the campaign and ignored the truth.

Don’t be foolish! The President has not changed! He is still the same blow hard appeaser that he has always been and which terrorists and the tyrants that support those terrorists around the world see as weak which is why they keep thumbing their noses at him.

A whopping 94% of the public support or strongly support the operation while 92% think it benefits Israel’s security, according to the Tel Aviv University survey.

The poll found that 92% of Israeli Jews justify the air force’s attacks in Gaza despite the suffering of the civilian population in the Strip and the damage they cause to infrastructure.

Nearly 1,000 Palestinians have been killed during the 19-day old operation, about half of them Hamas terrorists.

It is high time that Israel kick Hamas’s ass back up to the stone age. And it is higher time yet that they stop capitulating to a bunch of terrorists too stupid to understand that Israel does not belong to them and that Gaza is only their’s because Israel was stupid enough to let them have it. It is time to let them have it again . Preferably with both barrels this time.

TEL AVIV – Despite 20 days of intense Israeli bombardment, Hamas’ so-called military capabilities inside the Gaza Strip are still largely in tact, top Hamas leaders claimed to WND.

“We admit our government institutions suffered a big blow, but even the Israelis admit our military capabilities have not been hurt,” claimed Abu Abdullah, considered one of the most important operational members of Hamas’ so-called military wing, the Izzedine al-Qassam Martyrs Brigades.

“All bases used to store rockets, munitions, explosives are still there. Our Hamas fighters are still there,” Abu Abdullah declared.

Other top Hamas leaders, including Ahmed Yousef, chief political adviser to Hamas in Gaza, made similar comments to WND.

The only way to wipe Hamas out is to pave Gaza flat until the people of Gaza decided themselves that they have had enough of living under the rule of terrorists; terrorists they elected to power.

You fight wars to win them. So let’s win this one Israel ok? That way your children don’t have to keep fighting the same battle every other year.

CAIRO, Egypt – Al-Qaida’s No. 2 leader lashed out at President-elect Barack Obama in a new audio message Tuesday, accusing him of not doing anything to stop Israel’s offensive in the Gaza Strip, according to an intelligence monitoring center.

The recording purportedly by Ayman al-Zawahiri was al-Qaida’s first comments on the Gaza crisis since Israel launched its offensive against the Islamic militants of Hamas on Dec. 27.

In the comments, which were posted on a militant Web site and obtained by the SITE Monitoring Service, al-Zawahiri described Israel’s actions in Gaza as a “crusade against Islam and Muslims” and called it “Obama’s gift to Israel” before he takes office later this month.

“This is Obama whom the American machine of lies tried to portray as the rescuer who will change the policy of America,” al-Zawahiri said, according to SITE. “He kills your brothers and sisters in Gaza mercilessly and without affection.“

Apparently someone did not get the message that such talk and such defiance was no longer allowed.

So John Murtha is stepping up to the plate. His tactic of choice is to attach legislation restricting how the Commander in Chief can run the military to an appropriations bill. In Murtha’s own words, “If this resolution passes the House and the Senate, the president could veto it, but then he wouldn’t have any money [to fund the war].” So in other words, Murtha is blackmailing the President into giving up his Constitutional authority to conduct a war? A war that as far back as 1998 even prominent Democrats in Congress were clamoring for? A war that just a few years ago Murtha himself voted for?

Talk about a real “chicken-hawk”! He’s brave enough to vote for the war but not brave enough to support the war once it has begun. Perhaps Mr. Murtha would like us to believe that the joint resolution was just another oxymoronic “non-binding” resolution?

I hate to break it to Mr. Murtha, but you cannot amend the Constitution in this way. I know he will try and he might even succeed in pushing it through Congress. But he still cannot ultimately do it. The Constitution still trumps him.

Mutha’s logic is shaky at best stating “What we’re trying to do is make sure people understand we’re supporting the troops, we’re protecting the troops, but on the other hand, we’re going to stop this surge.” Which begs the question, how exactly is denying the troops reinforcements in a war zone “protecting” them? How is hamstringing the President’s authority to move and deploy troops as required “protecting” the soldiers already there?

I think it is clear that I beg to differ with Mr. Murtha. He is not “protecting” the troops. He is “protecting” his (and other’s) talking points and ultimately he wants to try and “protect” defeat for America by creating yet another slog of a war engineered to be fought with one hand behind our backs by a Congress over stepping its constitutional powers.

John Murtha aspires to the belief that Congress has Constitutional powers with regard to war beyond simply declaring and funding it. But already those that have sought to defund and undeclare the war have lost at every turn in Congress. So the new tactic appears to be a forcing of an approach where we can’t really fight and the troops can’t win and that they cannot really leave either as the engagement drags on. They can’t leave, that is, unless it is in a body bag or ultimately with their tails between their legs. Both of these seem to be preferred positions for American GIs for certain segments of the American political landscape.

John Murtha is that he is under the illusion that it is Americans that are causing terrorism in Iraq and elsewhere around the world and that America is somehow on par with these same terrorists. You know, the “blame America” mentality that we have seen a lot of lately. The theory is that because America is “there” (insert whatever “there” you want) that the terrorists pop up to fight us. I hate to break it to Mr. Murtha but there have been terrorists and terrorist attacks in many places around the world that that we are not “at”. From Somalia to Darfur to Russia; these places have been dealing with terrorism and not an evil occupying US soldier catalyst to be found.

And even if we were to abide by the theory that where American troops are causes terrorists to sprout up wouldn’t it be suicidal to “bring them home”?

It is not the United States that causes terrorists to pop up like daisies. What it is that causes these maniacs to rear their ugly little heads is the hint that someone, somewhere will be living their lives without arbitrary government control over them or at least not their arbitrary government control. What it is that causes theses abominations of humanity to exist is their own hatred of anything that smacks of freedom. And what causes them to persist is the continued observation that there are a great many people who simply do not want to fight them. It is the perception that if they keep blowing up women and children in markets shopping for food to feed their families those that are fighting them will lose their will and simply quit.

It is time for Americans to decide whether or not they believe that mankind has certain unalienable rights and that those rights are worth fighting for. It’s time to start recognizing that there is evil in the world and that evil is constantly striking at us whether it is Osama bin Laden, Saddam Hussein, Kim Jung Ill or any number of other tin horned despots who all have threatened America and our allies through actions, words or both. It is time to stop trying to say that we support the soldiers on the ground while working every day to undermine them and the mission that they are dodging bullets for. It’s time to stop throwing young men and women into meat grinders of our own design and let them do the job each and every one of them signed up. Well, that they signed up for except for those that did it for the “college tuition” and didn’t realize that soldiers actually do sometimes have to point a gun at the enemy, shoot and kill said enemy.

What it is time to do is start throwing all the terrorists into the meat grinder instead. Because they will not relent until they are stopped by force.

It’s time to finish the job and make some terrorists into hamburger for a change.

Sorry, but I am not going to let Senator “DICK” get away that easily after reading the entire apology that isn’t really much of an apology but rather an accusatory statement towards how others interpreted his comments.

I’m sorry, but I don’t think that likening the interrogation tactics of our soldiers at Gitmo to NAZIs, Soviets and Pol Pot that killed tens of millions of political prisoners can be misconstrued. But again, Senator “DICK” repeated his previous apology in which he said, “I have learned from my statements that historical parallels can be misused and misunderstood.” In essence, he is again blaming us for not understanding what he said. He should have stopped after saying “misused” and he would have been correct. But that would imply that only he was at fault. And like a good liberal he cannot be the only one at fault. Oh no. Blame must be placed somewhere else as well and he is blaming you and me for “misunderstanding” his “misuse” of the references.

He went on to say, “it is very clear that even though I thought I had said something that clarified the situation, to many people it was still unclear.” DUH! It is still “unclear” because we are wondering why you are still blaming everyone else for “misunderstanding” your “misuse” of the references.

He says he is, “sorry if anything [he] said in any way cast a negative light on our fine men and women in the military.” Hey “DICK” please tell me that you are not serious? Didn’t your little choo-choo make it far enough around the track to understand that calling our troops NAZIs would cast our soldiers in a negative light when you made a prepared speech in the well of the Senate?

You are not sorry so please stop that charade. You did however plan and plot those remarks for one purpose — political power. You are sorry however because you were called out for trying the “baby killer” tactic of the Vietnam era to turn public opinion against the war and more heinously against our soldiers.

“I never intended any disrespect for [our troops].” Really “DICK”? Then again, why on Earth would you even think about comparing them to NAZIs?

Then, like a good lefty he pulls out the words of a real American to try and wrap himself in the flag. His target was Abraham Lincoln and the quote he used was, “If the end brings me out right, what is said against me won’t amount to anything. If the end brings me out wrong, 10,000 angels swearing I was right wouldn’t make any difference.”

In other words, “this isn’t over”. He is still saying that at the end of the day he might still be right and that he might be vindicated that our troops really are NAZIs. So in reality he isn’t backing away from his comments. He is just blaming all of us stupid Americans for not agreeing with him and warning us that in the end he could still be right so how dare we criticize him.

Here is the apology that Senator “DICK” should have given.

“I apologize to our troops and to all Americans. My reckless, irresponsible and more importantly baseless comparisons of interrogation tactics of terrorists at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba to the Nazis, soviets and Pol Pot was wrong and hurt our cause to bring freedom and liberty to all mankind around the world. I have given the enemy a terrible tool to use against our soldiers which will be used to recruit more terrorists that will put our soldiers in even greater harm. My words have already been used by the enemy in this capacity and I have no one to blame for this but myself.”
