Here’s something that I missed. Back in September, HarperCollins backed off a claim that Greenland had lost 15% of its permanent ice cover over the past dozen years. But after scientists criticized the claim made in Times Comprehensive Atlas of the World, the publisher relented just a day after defending its claim saying, “We are the best there is. We are confident of the data we have used and of the cartography.”

It then backtracked:

“The conclusion that was drawn from this, that 15 percent of Greenland’s once permanent ice cover has melted away, was highlighted in the press release, not in the Atlas itself,” HarpersCollins said in a statement. “This was done without consulting the scientific community and was incorrect. We apologize for this and will seek the advice of scientists on any future public statements.”

Maintaining the accuracy of the new maps though, may not be enough. When comparing the maps to recent satellite images Christofferson and his team found “numerous glaciers and permanent ice cover where the new Times Atlas shows ice-free conditions and the emergence of new lands.”

“In the aftermath of ‘Himalayagate,’ we glaciologists are hypersensitive to egregious errors in supposedly authoritative sources,” Graham Cogley of Trent University in Canada told the BBC, referring to a debunked claim that the world’s glaciers were melting so fast that those in the Himalayas could vanish by 2035.

For those of you who think there is a “consensus” about all this Global Warming stuff, this is a smack in the nose to you isn’t it? I mean, you all think that no one but fringe kooks who know nothing about the fields of study relevant to “Global Warming” disagree with you right? Well, not so fast. In fact, there are many scientists who have intimate knowledge of the field who disagree with you. And they are much more numerous than you think.

There is an old saying which applies to courtrooms and debates. It warns one to never ask a question to which they do not already know the answer to. Political hacks, in addition to bad lawyers and poor debaters, often disregard this well founded warning. Instead they plunge headlong into asking questions and only hoping that the answer which supports their ideology will be the one that comes forth. Even though it never has and never will.

My email box is full of individuals pursuing this course. And, once again, thanks to President Obama, they are delving into La La Land. A common refrain that I am hearing from the political left, misguidedly thinking they have found an issue to tout, is how the rich do not “pay their fair share” when it comes to taxes. Thank you Mr. Obama for perpetuating this myth with your completely unsourced claim that billionaires are paying as little as 1% in income taxes.

I actually agree with those liberals emailing me that everyone should indeed “pay their fair share” of taxes. Of course I disagree with them on what that “fair share” should be. And I also disagree with them as to who is not paying their “fair share” of taxes. And unlike the liberals I actually have facts to back me up.

Thanks to the work by the good folks over at the Tax Foundation, who have parsed the latest available IRS data (for 2009) we have a stark look at who is indeed paying what in terms of federal income taxes [1].

The top 1% of all U.S. Tax Payers, those making more than $343,927 per year, send an average of 24.01% of their income to Washington for politicians to vilify them with. Moving down the line, the next 1 to 5% of income earners as a whole send on average 16.40% to Congress and the President to line the nests their own little fiefdom’s. Expanding the range. thee next 5 to 10%, a group I am proud to be included within, send on average 11.40% into the black hole of government. Now, the top 10% to 25% send 8.23% of their income to Washington. Rounding out the upper half of the list, from 25 to 50%, these households pay 5.58%, on average, to the bureaucracy.

Notice the obvious trend? Yep, despite the howls of incredulousness from the left wing, the “rich” pay the most to Washington as a percent of their income. The top 1% who pay 24.01% in income taxes give the U.S. Treasury a whopping 36.7% of all personal income tax collections.

Now, what about the bottom 50%? Well, here we see the people that are certainly by any objective standard not paying their “fair share”. This group, despite often consuming the huge amounts of services and benefits, pay a paltry 1.85% of their income to D.C.’s hedonistic culture. They pay into the coffers just 2.3% of the total take of our federal government. Now consider that programs like Medicaid, Food Stamps and Welfare etc. account for over 25% of the money spent by the federal government? Well, there is even less of a doubt that they are not paying their “fair share”.

The numbers do not lie. But the leaches do because they do not want the “free ride” provided for them by the top 50% who pay their freight to end.

The tired, hackneyed class warfare rhetoric of the political left is nothing more than bluster. The simple fact is that the “rich” not only pay their “fair share” but they pay much, much more than that. I am honestly surprised that they put up with it and do not just go Galt. Boy, that would be a treat. To watch the leaches wail as their teat was forcibly removed from their lips? Priceless.

The money of “other people” is running out. What will you do when it does?

Last time a series of emails from the Global Warmongers at East Anglia University were leaked in 2008, they were damning. Over and over again the so-called “experts” who had declared man-made Global Warming a fact that was indisputable were seen to have fudged data. Further they conspired to shut up anyone that had any evidence contrary to their opinion. Of course people like Phil Jones, Professor in the School of Environmental Sciences at the University, who has made his living pimping man-made Global Warming proclaimed that the damning evidence was “cherry-picked” and taken out of context. It was an excuse that devout followers of Al Gore’s Church of The Global Warming Consensus (and promoters of Flat Earth Theory) swallowed and went about their merry way. It was an excuse anyone interested in the facts saw as yet another nail in the coffin of Global Warmerism.

Now we have a second batch of emails. And it gets only worse for Mr. Jones. In the new release he bemoans how after being requested to release his data through a Freedom of Information Act request in order to not to have to release that data he spent precious time deleting emails and destroying data.

“I wasted a part of a day deleting numerous emails and exchanges with almost all the skeptics. So I have virtually nothing. I even deleted the email that I inadvertently sent,”

Read more: http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2011/11/23/did-10-stand-in-way-climate-science/#ixzz1eiu3z3ds

This is of course something no legitimate scientist does. Scientists interested in the truth do not destroy data. Political hacks on the other hand? Oh, yeah, they will destroy data because their nature is to draw conclusions not based on the data at hand but rather their political ideology.

But once again those who are so intent on believing in man-made Global Warming will see nothing amiss here. They will proclaim this a politically motivated attack or some such nonsense. They are blind. And they will destroy this world if they are left unchecked and their religious zealotry towards their cause is not confronted.

The truth sets us free. And the truth is that Global Warming being man-made is just another Big Lie promoted by leftists who want to control the world.

It is not Herman Cain’s responsibility to prove that he is innocent of various charges of sexual misconduct being levied at him. It is the accusers’ job to prove his guilt. Anyone who abandons the old adage of “innocent until proven guilty” in order to condemn Cain is a fool not worthy of being argued with.

Claims do not amount to proof. And based on what we know, claims are all we have.

Once again we see liberals sticking to their age old method of spreading their message. That method is it is the story, not the facts, that matter.

President Obama’s story of a poor teacher named Robert Baroz was part of one of his recent appearances pimping his latest, greatest and doomed for failure, stimulus plan.

The direct quote from President Obama:

“He’s got two decades of teaching experience. He’s got a master’s degree. He’s got an outstanding track record of helping his students make huge gains in reading and writing. In the last few years, he’s received three pink slips because of budget cuts. Why wouldn’t we want to pass a bill that puts somebody like Robert back in the classroom teaching our kids?”

Here’s the problem though as the Boston Herald points out, “Obama never met Baroz. And Baroz remains happily employed.”

Two lies in just one paragraph.

The facts:

It is technically true that Obama had a chance to meet Baroz. But the closest Baroz actually got to Obama was the front row of a Rose Garden press conference on the jobs bill in September, with a handful of other teachers. He later met with White House aides and Obama’s education chief, but never met the president.

and

Baroz has in fact received three pink slips in four years, but in each case, his job was saved, either through stimulus funds or the 2010 Congressional Jobs Bill. He now works as a literacy and data coach at the Curley K-8 School in Jamaica Plain, analyzing MCAS data and applying it to teachers’ everyday lessons.

Here’s the thing though, Mr. Baroz job is so unimportant that local school officials, those that know the needs of local students best, were not willing to keep him employed and only did so after the federal government interceded? Wow. I can only imagine how Mr. Baroz must feel knowing he holds a position so uninspiring and unessential!

Oh, wait, no I don’t have to wonder. Because Mr. Baroz is a liberal and as a liberal he most certainly believes he is entitled to a job no matter how unimportant. I can say this because anyone who was not a liberal would be furious that any President would misrepresent what happened. But Mr. Baroz is perfectly happy to let President Obama lie about what happened:

“People who want to fuss over the word choice are missing the point. It’s about our investing in education and in communities,” Baroz said. “It was technically correct; yes, I did lose my position three times within four years in the Boston Public Schools. To me, the question he posed to the people was a rhetorical question. The emphasis was on ‘like Robert.’ It’s people who are like me, highly qualified, and are not working. That’s the spirit of it.”

Yep, it is the message, not the facts that matter to the left.

But I do wonder how Mr. Baroz feels however about the millions who are unemployed or threatened to be unemployed by President Obama’s continued incompetence in all matters economic and administrative. President Obama through his policies is threatening the jobs of many Americans by pushing crushing taxes and massive regulations. He supports liberal activists marching around the streets pushing for demonization of banks and investors whom millions of Americans (especially the middle class) have their life savings invested in.

But Mr. Baroz will not likely care. See, he is one of Obama’s chosen people, a teacher. And no matter what he knows that the President will do all in his power to save his meaningless job that the local school districts don’t value. Everyone else be damned.

Liberals have to work to create their mob. It is not the natural way of people to rise up in their ignorance and support oppression. Although it has taken many years to create a ready made class of people who are willing to do just this.

First they destroyed the inner cities by forcing out the doers as they passed law after law to stifle them. This nudged those areas into depression under their rule and those who were not as able to leave were engulfed. With rampant crime and few jobs the permanent poverty class arose. They are ready to join the mob.

Liberals convinced everyone that they needed a cleve degree. When it became clear that not everyone was fit to learn the standard things that people went to college for, the universities expanded their offerings and their enrollments. Now our higher education system turns out more teachers, social workers and music professionals than society demands. They turn out people with utterly useless degrees in all sorts of politically correct “studies” programs that are not in demand. These students spend tens of thousands of dollars and cannot find work once they graduate. They are ready to join the mob.

Then there are the organized protestors of the left; the unions. They always want to be able to force businesses and governments to give them their every demand, go on strike when they don’t get them and still be paid. With huge coffers of union dues the unions bus in protestors and move them around like pawns as needed. They are ready to join the mob.

Then there are the dupes, the useful idiots. These are people who no matter their station, often well off folks, who have been convinced beyond all reason that socialism works. They struggle to find an example of such, but before the march even starts, they have their hand painted signs decrying liberty and capitalism ready to go. They are ready to join the mob.

So now the mob marches. It takes to Wall Street.

It took years to get here. It will take years to turn it back.

“Total up just those numbers and it is $17.35 million of Obama’s $86 million dollar second quarter haul [came from Wall Street Types]. That’s 20% of his money coming directly from people liberals claim to hate and whom they claim are in the pockets of Republicans.” -
Wall Street And Obama Hand In Hand

“But the reality is that if there is no deal by August 2nd or if there is a deal which does not raise the debt ceiling, forcing President Obama to spend not a dime more than we collect in revenues, the markets should rejoice. They should be glad to see that for once in a long while the rampant printing of worthless, inflationary dollars will not be a drag on the economy. They should be happy to realize that as government is forced to cut back its check writing spree, revenues from companies will reflect their true revenues in the free market and not include any amount of free dollars thrown their way by Washington politicians.

If the logical people outweigh the illogical people the markets would head higher, if anything. But sadly there are a lot of people who are just plain stupid.” – Why Would Markets Be Hurt If No Deal By August 2nd?

“Small minds are incapable of thinking big and seeing the forrest for the trees. Whether it is puny, hard core liberal minds like those of President Obama, Senator Harry Reid and Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi or shallow “moderate” liberal minds like those of Congressman John Boehner and Senator Mitch McConnell this holds true.” – Small Minds Just Cannot Think Big

“Who is President Obama trying to convince that be is a grown up? Himself or the rest of America?” – Obama Plays Dress Up Again

“Here is what the Boehner plan really is. It is a plan that will balloon our debt to over $20 trillion because its cuts are not real cuts. The plan, like all others to date, hopes and prays that federal revenues will quickly approach $4 trillion per year to help make up future shortfalls. His plan cuts money from proposed new spending, not from existing spending.” – Beware The Boehner Plan

“Don’t be fooled. John Boehner, the Republican Speaker of the House, is no conservative. He is not a genius. He is not a leader. And he has no intention of solving the problems facing America if he can help it.” – Boehner Taking Heat From Conservatives

“Of course, the liberals moving to the right is like Stalin turning into Hitler. They were both far leftists, just that Stalin was a communist while Hitler was a socialist. Neither was good, but Hitler was definitely to the “right” of Stalin.” – If We Stand Strong We Will Win

“Lando Calrissian, when he finally realized Lord Vader was screwing him in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, famously muttered to himself, “This deal is getting worse all the time.”

Conservatives should be muttering the exact same thing today as Speaker Boehner threatens, cajoles and pleads for votes to pass what I derisively refer to as Boehner’s Boner.” – Boehner’s Boner

“[The Mack Penny Plan] is not a real solution. If $14.3 trillion in debt is bad, $20 trillion in debt is worse. That is just simple math.” – The Mack Penny Plan – More Smoke And No Mirrors

“Funny. Every news report about why the markets have been down this week has cited the budget/deficit stalemate in DC as the culprit. The real story is that the markets were actually preparing for this bad news on GDP more than anything.” – Summer Of Non-Recovery Rolls On

“Who has the answer to the freewheeling, high spending ways of Washington? Is it Rep. Paul Ryan? Nope. Is it Speaker John Boehner? Nope. Is it Harry Reid? Please! Don’t make me laugh! Is it President Obama? Come on, you are not even using the brains God gave a turnip if you suggest such.

None of the major players in this dog and pony show over the national debt and government spending have the answer. Their so-called solutions all add trillions of dollars to the national debt over the coming years. For the most part their plans only cut future spending, not current spending. On top of that they assume pie in the sky revenue projections ten years out to make their plans look like they might be somewhat serious.” – Truth Versus The Politics of Washington

“Time to cut spending now. Otherwise, as Clubber Lang once astutely prognosticated, the prediction for the outcome is nothing other than, “Pain.”” – Boehner’s Boner Version 3.0 Passes While Democrats Continue To Stall

“If the word “compromise” comes out of your mouth as what you want out of Washington on the budget debate, you have ceased saying anything important if you desire that compromise to be a meshing of current Republican and Democrat plans.

You “compromise” promoters are fools.” – Compromise THIS

“Reports today are that these two limp wristed RINOs are ready to pull a trigger on a compromise with President Obama and the Democrat led Senate. The deal would raise our debt ceiling up to $3 trillion more dollars (putting our children into hock for $17+ trillion in debt) and secure that this issue will go away until after the 2012 elections. The deal would cut token amounts of spending and allow future Congresses to continue on the current path and hope and pray that some day the revenues come.

To be disappointed in this, you would have had to have expected better from Boehner et al. I did not however.” – Republicans Preparing To Join Democrats; Betray America

Al Gore recently attacked President Obama for not being tough enough on the lie of manmade Global Warming. Gore wrote a 7,000 word article for Rolling Stone bemoaning the President’s lack of “bold action” on this fictitious problem. And yes it is fictitious. When the facts are examined we see the truth. Sea levels are not rising. The globe is not warming.

Of course these facts don’t stop radical warmongers like Al Gore from propagating the myth of manmade global warming. No matter how many facts people like myself put out there to show how wrong they are, these dimbulbs keep plowing ahead.

Well, Al Gore has apparently started a circular firing squad among radical warmongers. Make no mistake. President Obama is a radical warmonger. He just has not been too successful at implementing the plan the warmongers want. So Al Gore fired a shot across his bow.

In response, PETA (also a bunch of radical warmongers who use animal rights as a shield for those beliefs) fired back at Al Gore. They called him a hypocrite on manmade global warming for doing little to lower his own carbon footprint. He is out jet setting around the world in private jets and we all are very familiar with his house which was exposed as consuming massive amounts of energy compared to average people who Mr. Gore tells to cut back on power consumption.

PETA is upset with Gore because he is not a vegan who is eating tree bark and boiled yams which they see as the best way to combat global warming. Of course PETA fails to contemplate apparently how killing plants, which consume CO2 and which radical warmongers blame for manmade global warming, is helping the issue.

Personally I say let them all keep firing shots at each other. Let them all kill themselves and let Gaia sort them out.

It doesn’t matter what you do, you will enrage radical Muslims. We now have two new items to add to the list which is fast approaching 10,000,000 items in length. Be warned, doing any of these things from breaking wind in the direction of Mecca to growing your eyebrow hair a sixteenth of an inch too long will result in the radical Muslim street igniting in rage seeking to kill an infidel or two.

The two new items on this list are as follows:

- Killing Usmam bin Laden
- Disposing Usama bin Laden’s body at sea

Expect the radicals to take to the street to protest these injustices immediately!

Remember last year when I told you how the federal government had to tie a $7,500 pork chop around the neck of the Chevy Volt just to get car buyers to play with it? That was one big pork chop! Well, it appears Chrysler is doing Chevy one better!

Chrysler Group LLC CEO Sergio Marchionne says the company will lose $10,000 on every battery driven Fiat 500 it manages to sell. He went on to admit “The economics … simply don’t work.”

Boy, you really have to be a blind ideologue to throw that much money down a rabbit hole! The pork chops keep getting bigger and bigger as people reject, without huge incentives, the green movement’s attempts to force uncompetitive, poorly designed and unwanted products to market. Soon they will have to actually pay people to buy these cars!
