Thomas Jefferson Wisdom

A wise and frugal government … shall restrain men from injuring one another, shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government… Continue reading

Thomas Jefferson On The Role Of Government

The care of every man’s soul belongs to himself. But what if he neglect the care of it? Well what if he neglect the care of his health or his estate, which would more nearly relate to the state. Will the magistrate make a law that he not be poor or sick? Laws provide against injury from others; but not from ourselves. Continue reading

Dwight D. Eisenhower Knew It, Do You?

As quickly as you start spending federal money in large amounts, it looks like free money. Continue reading

Patrick Henry On Right To Keep And Bear Arms

“Are we at last brought to such humiliating and debasing degradation, that we cannot be trusted with arms for our defense? Where is the difference between having our arms in possession and under our direction Continue reading

Governor William Bradford On The Failure Of Socialism At The Plimouth Plantation

At last after much debate of things, the governor gave way that they should set corn everyman for his own particular… That had very good success for it made all hands very industrious, so much [more] corn was planted than otherwise would have been … Continue reading

Quick Thought For Today (December 7th 2011)

At question is not Newt Gingrich’s ability to cite historical references and the writings and words of our founders. At question is the ability of Newt Gingrich to embrace and apply them and pursue the course of true liberty. The … Continue reading

Oh, There Are Savings To Be Had!

Our federal government spends a lot of money on a lot of things. It is humorous that Congress, mostly liberals, and the President, definitely a liberal, cannot find savings of a paltry amount every year just to shave $120 billion each year over the next ten years from just the rate of growth in our spending. Especially when day after day after day we see exactly how the government is spending our money. Continue reading

The Founders Said What?

Since liberals so rarely understand history, because they have not studied it, I think it is often illustrative to remind them of what the founding fathers actually said on certain issues. Like what the people of the United States ought to do when liberals have taken over the government and destroyed it to a point where it cannot be saved. Continue reading

What Really Happened In Ludlow And That The Unions Won’t Tell You

Well, as is typical every Labor Day holiday, and when I point out sad but true things about organized labor, I get hit with the emails howling in protest over my “assault” on the “working class”. Of course by “working class” these emailers really mean union workers because, as we all know, no one else, such as myself, works here in America right? Oh please, spare me. Continue reading

Happy July 4th, AKA Independence Day

In this age of misremberence, where cowards seek to portray any inference that government must be restrained, sometimes by force when it was grown too large and is unwilling to give up the reigns used to guide us, let us remember the course we took to get here and the words of our founders which spoke of the necessity to be strong and willing to act as appropriate. Continue reading

Typical, Pathetic Liberal Reaction

Liberals have so many stupid responses that they regurgitate any time something happens that they don’t know how to respond to. Barack Obama criticized and properly portrayed as a Marxist? Continue reading

If We Shall Be Fleas, Then Let Us Be Fleas!

Senator Chuck Schumer, Democrat from New York, who has never had a thought not previously espoused by other radical leftists from Hitler to Mussolini to Stalin to Mao, calls those of us that believe in fiscally responsible, Constitutionally based government … Continue reading

A Call For Reason

A Call for Reason (Part I) – The Conditions Of Mankind:

My fellow Americans, I appeal to you that reason dictates to all that men can only exist in one of a few limited conditions while they are upon this Earth. I also submit to you for your consideration, and ultimately your acceptance after reasonable debate, that illogic and non-reason will masquerade in the guise of reason to try and subvert any discussion of this truth and that it will seek to lead us to the most unwelcome and unkind of these conditions. Continue reading

A Call for Reason (Part V Conclusion) – A Time For The Rebirth Of Liberty

Fellow Americans, fellow patriots, fellow men and women of these proud and united States; I submit before you that reason dictates we have strayed from the pursuit and maintenance of good and just government. I submit that we have moved beyond government simply for upholding unalienable rights and defending us from threats to our liberty both foreign and domestic. Continue reading

A Call for Reason (Part IV) – The Learning Of Man And The Enforcement of Liberty

I wish to digress slightly through the conspicuous view of our own history if I may. History my friends compels us to realize what is will cease, what was is no longer and what will be is yet to come. Reason, which I must continually implore from you as a rational being, also dictates that throughout time there will be both good and bad and that just because something was, is or will be does not dictate that it was, is or will be right or wrong. Continue reading

A Call for Reason (Part III) – Why Not Arbitrary Rules?

Some of you, despite being persons of reason, may still ask the question – what is so wrong with arbitrary rules. Although I am not certain how anyone of reason could still be asking such a question, I will indulge it briefly. Continue reading

A Call for Reason (Part II) – Why Inalienable Rights?

You no doubt have the reason to understand why inalienable rights exist and why their pursuit and defense once captured by the public is true and noble. As a reasoned being you have no doubt the wisdom to understand that of which I just spoke where societies that promote liberty are good and those that seek oppression are bad and that such good or bad stems from how well inalienable rights are preserved within the citizenry. Continue reading

George Washington A Member of the Illuminati?

Did you know that George Washington was a member of the Illuminati? The secret society was formed back in the 1770’s had as its goal explicitly the overthrow of governments, religion, and essentially all inalienable rights. These guys were supposedly part of the Free Masons which also tends to get that group into trouble. It is also a useful claim to toss around by some to further attempt to paint our founders, like Washington, as Godless souls. Continue reading

I Resolve To Annoy Liberals Even More

Liberals became even more annoyed at me in 2010, especially after the November 2nd elections. This annoyance, it was clear, was due to me simply and repeatedly citing facts like the exact wording of our federal Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, the Federalist Papers and various other things our founding fathers had to say to rebut their plans. Continue reading
