Google has agreed to censor itself in India, removing web content that offends the country’s religious and political leadership. With the move Google should update its motto from “Don’t be evil” to “Don’t hurt the company’s bottom line”. Google needs to tap markets like India in order to continue to grow and clearly entered into the agreement to protect its profits and keep from being shut out of the growing market India represents.

This is not self censorship mind you. This is censorship at the hands of the State. A recent court ruling forced companies like Google and Facebook into pulling certain content. Google did not want to do this, otherwise they would have done it before.

It is one thing for companies to opt to do these sorts of things on their own. It is another entirely when the State coerces the action. The former is liberty. The latter is totalitarianism. Google falls into the category of a crony capitalist, which is to say not real capitalists at all, with this choice and by allowing itself to be censored and not embracing the free markets and telling India to pound salt.

To be so bold to tell the Catholic Church that it must start providing birth control services at its hospitals, something that goes against their faith and which clearly violates the First Amendment, and to do so in an election year, the President must honestly believe that the fix is in and that no matter what he does his reelection is guaranteed by hook or by crook. To so clearly overstep, poo poo criticism, basically tell Catholics to go to Hell and that they will submit to the will of the State is yet more arrogance from The One. All Americans should be fearful. What does President Obama know and have planned to be so confident that his reign as sovereign will continue beyond January 2013?

Ocean Logistics LLC’s in Dunbar PA closed late last year. And now they have been deemed “special” by the Department of Labor. Yes, on January 19th, 2012 the USDOL announced that it would give away $306,838 to 150 employees affected by the closure. That is $2,045.58 each above and beyond standard unemployment for. “re-employment and retraining services necessary to compete for new jobs in other industries.”

Once again, we have the federal government stepping in to help people who have no skills that are marketable in our society? What terrible lives these former employees of Ocean Logistics must have lived. I mean to be so incompetent and so completely unskilled that no one other than Ocean Logistics had menial positions for them to fill? Are we seriously to believe that these employees have no skills that anyone would want to pay them for? How utterly sad. How utterly pathetic. And how even more pathetic that they had to turn to Big Brother to help them get the skills they themselves were too lazy to acquire on their own in preparation for the inevitability of the modern marketplace where people are often required to change jobs.

Or maybe this was just a convenient excuse for Big Brother to throw a pittance their way. You know, to help them remember come November that Obama loves them? We have trillions of dollars in debt and here we are paying for things people need to be doing themselves.

Mitt Romney and his buds have attacked Newt with lies such as having “resigned in disgrace” after a bunch of frivolous ethics charges while in Congress. Newt is back to playing off lies such as that Mitt once implied he likes being able to fire workers when he was really talking about ditching companies that provided him bad service. Almost every time they speak about the other it is to say some untruth. It reminds me of a DNC talking point memo edited by President Obama himself.

These two are the same person with different hairdos. They both cannot run on their full records because their full records are so splattered with liberalism that it makes such a tactic impossible. They are both distorting and lying. If you trust that either of these men have the spine and the conviction to solve America’s real problems and not just nibble around the edges then you are going to be in for a big surprise once election day has come and gone.

And no, the answer is not the unconstitutional earmark promoting, American military bashing Ron Paul either.

Read today’s headlines and you will think the economy is turning around and President Obama’s socialist agenda is succeeding. The US Government today shocked everyone by announcing that the unemployment rate dipped to 8.3%. Hallelujah! All praise the Messiah!

But the 0.2% drop is just the smoke screen to cover up the fact that fewer Americans are working today, as a percentage of our population, than when Obama took office. Yes, there were 243,000 jobs created in January. But the number of unemployed dropped by 339,000. That means 96,000 Americans just simply stopped looking and almost 30% of those that wanted work are now sitting idle.

The fact is that when President Obama took office in January of 2009 the civilian labor force participation rate was 65.7%. Today it is just 63.7% (bls.gov). Consider that the population has increased and that 2% drop is magnified and glaring and points to an overall loss of jobs because they were never created to keep up with the traditional 65-67% historical participation rate of the previous decade.

Make no mistake, the President has found his strategy to get the unemployment rate appear as low as possible by November. They are just going to discourage the living heck out of US workers. As Americans stop looking for work the rate will in turn drop and to those not paying attention it will look like the current Administration has done something wonderful. In fact all they are doing is sweeping the dirt under the rug and hoping you won’t find it.

The Donald has spoken; he’s for Mitt! Speculation over who he would pick has been swirling for the last day with pundits claiming his choice would be Mitt or Newt.

Honestly, it doesn’t matter. Trump is a RINO, Mitt is a RINO and so is Newt. He would have been comfortable with either one. So who really cares? Well, other than Newt’s people who feel slighted of course.

If anything Trump’s endorsement should hurt Mitt among conservatives. But it won’t. It won’t because there is no real conservative in the GOP field for conservatives to support. So who are they going to run to? And please, spare the the “what about Santorum?” question. Look, Santorum has his share of support for unconstitutional liberalism staining his record too. He has been for subsidies and price controls as well as continuing existing government medicine programs as well as expanding them. So he is not much better.

GM wanted to sell 45,000 of its Chevy Volts this year … until they decided that they could not. GM ditched that target last month after selling just 7,700 or so of the ugly babies which are laden with pork chops with President Obama praying fruitlessly that they dog would play with them.

In January of 2012, GM sold just 603 of its flagship, government endorsed, electric car. That is less than half of what they sold in December by the way.

GM said that instead of setting lofty and unattainable targets for sales of the Volt that it would instead simply meet whatever demand for the cars would be. Well, so far there really isn’t very much demand at all. But the government loves the Volt and greenie weenies gush over them. So GM will no doubt keep producing them and also loosing money on every one. Thus requiring them to need further government subsidies to keep producing possibly the biggest flop since the AMC’s Gremlin
