Liberty Reborn

Well, here are your choices in November – a devil or a devil. Maybe the choice could be made easier. After all the saying goes, “Better the devil you know than the devil you don’t know.” Ok, well the only problem with that philosophy is that we “know” both of them.

The pea brains in Congress and many of their cronies around the country have found the problem that, they feel, is causing us so much pain at the pump. First they tried to demonize the oil companies. But that did not work too well.

Barack Obama is out on the stump using the skills he learned as a “community organizer” to try and woo support while talking about little of substance. He has the liberal psychobabble down pat and uses tried and true tactics any time someone levies any criticism against him.

It’s nighttime and the sky is dark. But do not worry. The sun will come up in the morning. But only if I pull out my trusty drum and bang on it. My family has been doing this ritual for eons and the technique has been passed down through my family over the years and the knowledge now resides in me. I’ll be happy to bang on my drum and bring the sun back up in the morning, but only if I am paid well for my services – say one million dollars every day.

My fellow Americans, I come before you today to humbly ask for your vote this November at a pivotal time in America. We can no longer ignore the pressing issues facing our country and that is why it is imperative that you consider the future of this great nation.

Hillary Clinton knows no shame in her quest for power. She will say and do just about anything to obtain it. Ok, so the “just about” is wishful thinking. We could only hope that she had such a constraint. The fact is she will, without a doubt, say and do anything to obtain it.

Perhaps as a child you once sang a fun little ditty about a hapless man, named Henry and his beloved, named Liza. See, this song is about a problem Henry has. His bucket has a hole in it so it is pretty much useless. But instead of handling the problem himself, he runs to ask Liza what he should do.

You may have heard the commercials being run around the country sponsored by the AARP as part of their “Divided We Fail” campaign. If you have not had the nauseating displeasure of hearing these ads, here is the deal. The goal of these advertisements is to demand that questions be asked of the Presidential candidates as to exactly how much more government they will impose on us because there are people in America that are not, perish the thought, happy.

Liberals are still out there fighting hard for socialized medicine because it is just one more way for them to get their hands in your pockets and micromanage your life. And what is wrong with a little, itsy bitsy, teeny-weenie white lie along the way to help further their goal right?

Well, they are at it again down in Washington and on the campaign trail. The pandering for votes continues and as Congressmen, Senators and presidential hopefuls without enough candlepower to fire a few brain cells are trying to find out why gas prices are so gosh darn high. Their target? Evil, wicked, naughty “Big Oil.” Yeah, big shock there! Because we all know that “Big Oil” is to blame right?
