The number of things liberal Democrats will blame the (oft liberal himself) President Bush for keeps getting longer and longer! Now it is Rep. Maxine Waters, facing an ethics hearing over her role in getting help for a bank her husband had a boatload of money invested in, blaming the former President!

Anyone who has spent any time at all arguing with a more liberal minded person on issues relating to the powers of the federal government knows the old Liberal Three Step. The dance has been around for the better part of the last century and is the tried and true way for people who have no respect for individual liberty, limited government and our Constitution to justify any and every duty they want government to undertake. Once again we are watching this dance being performed over the issue of Obamacare.

Ok, so yesterday I talked about how people that were polled by Rasmussen (55% of them anyway) supported the unconstitutional act of the FCC acting as an arbiter over what can and cannot be said over the airwaves.  Today I want to talk about another Rasmussen poll concerning government subsidies for electric cars in general.  This includes the rebates for the latest ugly baby of the bunch, the Chevy Volt.

Sometimes I get my hopes up reading poll results that show how much so many Americans disagree with liberal principles. Time and again vast majorities of Americans tell pollsters how much they are against so much of what liberals do. But then there are polls like this one that deflate that hope I gain from those 8 out of every ten polls that give me hope.

Missouri sent a message to President Obama and the liberals in Congress on Tuesday that will be hard to ignore or spin if ignoring becomes impossible. By approximately 3 to 1 the voters of the “Show Me State” approved Prop C and denounced federal involvement in their health care and insurance decisions.

The old saying goes that when a baby is ugly, very ugly, the parents would have to tie a pork chop around its neck just to get the dog to play with it. Now replace the baby with a car like the Chevy Volt and the pork chop with a boat load of government incentives.

If I told you I knew what was being planned as this year’s October Surprise designed to keep liberals in power throughout Washington would you believe me? Well, to be honest, I do not know for certain what this year’s “Surprise” will be but based on some repetitive reports I am getting a pretty good indication of at least one form that it may take.
