A Warning To All The Takers

I just want to give a warning all the takers out there who voted for Barack Obama and brought us to the edge of tax increases starting in 2013.  See, my wife and I aren’t rich.  But together we do make around $100,000 a year and are on tap to see our taxes go up between $3,000 and $4,000 because liberals, such as yourselves, think that it is right to take more from the doers to pay you way through life with Obama Phones, Food Stamps, Government Controlled Medicine, etc.

Well, takers, that money that comes out of my pocket because you insist on holding the tax rates the rest of us pay hostage unless your Messiah gets to raise taxes on the “rich”?  It’s not going to go to you.  See, that extra money you think you are going to get from me, you aren’t going to get.  My wife and I will increase our contributions (tax deductible) to our retirement plans.  That will ensure that most, if not all, of that increase will never be touched by you and your fetid agents in Washington.  My family will make sure that we keep every penny that you think you are going to get, and the “rich” you hate so much will do similar things.

Now, let me explain to you what me and my family adjusting our habits to keep our hard earned money out of your hands means.  It means several thousand dollars less we will be giving to charity.  It also means several thousand dollars less we will be spending, giving you the opportunity to ask us if we would “like fries” with our extra value meals.  So, when McDonalds tells you they have to let you go because business is slumping, just know that you have been warned.

See, the fiscal cliff won’t hurt me.  So, threatening to take my tax rates and raise them if you are not allowed to raise taxes on the “rich” means little, aside from where my money goes.  Even though I’m not “rich”, I do aspire to be “rich” one day.  And I’ll be damned if I am going to cave in to your class warfare and hate mongering.

The only people that will be hurt by the looming “fiscal cliff” will be you Obama voters who think that increased taxes will lead to a boon for you.  It won’t.  All you will receive is further suffering and frustration.

Merry Christmas, and have a happy 2013!
