According to polling by CNW, regardless of what GM and Obama want you to believe, the Chevy Volt is a political vehicle. And make no mistake, the Volt was purposefully designed as such. I know GM CEO Dan Akerson said that such is not the case, but that is just political spin from a company left holding the bag for the radical, environmentalist left at the behest of President Obama while consumers shun the ugly baby GM brought into this world. Yes, even despite the big, juicy pork chops they keep hanging around its neck.
CNW’s polling shows that 53% of Volt buyers are Democrats. 14% are Republicans. But compare that to Chevy’s brand demographics which are just 22% Democrat, 37% Republican and 41% Independent.
