Well, well, well, now this is a surprise! Rasmussen recently polled Americans to find out what they think the problem with Welfare is. And when it comes to Republicans, Independents and Democrats they all agree; too many people who should not be on the program are on it.
Republicans (91%) and adults not affiliated with either political party (70%) believe much more strongly than Democrats (51%) that the bigger problem with welfare is that too many ineligible people are on it.
Overall, 71% of Americans hold this view.
I mean really? Even 51% of Democrats agree? My God! There might be hope for this country yet! Sounds to me like a winning issue in 2012 would be to make cuts to Welfare by getting rid of people who, as this poll suggests, everyone agrees should not be on it!
