In a day and age when Democrat candidates are trying to distance themselves from President Obama’s failed policies of bigger, badder government the Teleprompter Reader in Chief is wading into the Pennsylvania Senate Race. So reports Melanie Schuman at FOXNews.com. On September 20th President Obama will be in the state stumping for Joe Sestak who has for at least several weeks been trying to run anti-Toomey ads to gain ground in the Commonwealth. It hasn’t worked thus far with Pat Toomey (R) maintaining a lead and Sestak gaining little ground. Even the DSCC has been running anti-Toomey ads and nothing has budged.
You would think that Sestak and Obama would want to keep their distance from each other. Sestak wants to win and the President’s endorsement has not exactly been the golden touch as of late. And Presdient Obama certainly shouldn’t want to be seen with the man that he, or his surrogates, offered a job to if only he would bow out in the primary against Senator Arlen Specter the Defector. Sestak eventually won the primary race and questions about what exactly was offered persist with the President and his camp sloughing off the fact that the offer alone was a violation of the law.
Well, let’s see how this plays out. Certainly is always an interesting time when President Obama lays a golden opportunity to revisit his own indiscretions on the table.
