The number of things liberal Democrats will blame the (oft liberal himself) President Bush for keeps getting longer and longer! Now it is Rep. Maxine Waters, facing an ethics hearing over her role in getting help for a bank her husband had a boatload of money invested in, blaming the former President!
Trying to deflect the blame away from her actions, and actually admitting that she intervened, Waters said:
“The question at this point should not be why I called Secretary Paulson, but why I had to,” she said. “The question at this point should be why a trade association representing over 100 minority banks could not get a meeting at the height of the crisis.”
Yeah, the issue is never what liberals actually do is it? This excuse is a double whammy. She both blames Bush AND plays the race card. Hey Maxine, I know you are a Constitutional illiterate, but maybe the issue should be that there is no authority in the Federal Constitution granting Congress the power to bailout out failed businesses be they banks or otherwise!
It is so sad that the most intellectually deficient, power hungry wanna-be tyrants among us have risen so far to the top. Maxine Waters should be impeached for high crimes against our Constitution. But she wont be because she is surrounded by far too many other most intellectually deficient, power hungry wanna-be tyrants who don’t have the nads to do it for fear that they will be next.
