Thank You Jesus! Alaska Libertarians Display Intelligence!

I will say it again; THANK YOU JESUS! I just was perusing the latest information on the saga of Lisa Murkowski to run on the Libertarian Party ticket in Alaska as it is looking more and more likely that she will not overcome Joe Miller’s lead for the GOP nomination to run for United States Senator. Continue reading

Hey Lisa Murkowski, If I Told You To Go Screw Yourself Would You Be Offended?

No matter how many times I warn people not to try this at home, people without brains in their heads keep trying to give what I am sure they think is poignant commentary on political happenings. Take for example some yo-yo named Dan Amira writing in for NewYorkMag.com who thinks that he has some great insight with regards to our politicians. Dan, having obviously been locked up in his parent’s basement for years and just finally getting out is offended that Joe Miller, who is currently beating Lisa Murkowski for the GOP’s Senate nominee nomination, dared to imply that some politicians are whores. Continue reading

Murkowski The Libertarian?

I just about spit my water all over my keyboard this morning when I read that Lisa Murkowski, if she fails to defeat Joe Miller in the Alaska GOP’s Senate candidate primary, might run as a “Libertarian.” Yes, according to the Boston Herald the Alaska Libertarian Party might openly embrace Murkowski. Continue reading

And You Thought Obamacare Would Reign In Cost Increases?

The myths about Obamacare, what it would do and how it would do it by waving a magical wand in the possession of liberals, just keep crashing into reality. One of the claims was that Obamacare would stop insane insurance premium increases. Errrrr! Wrong! Continue reading

Quick Thought For Today ( August 30th, 2010)

Al Sharpton is in a tizzy over Glenn Beck daring to hold a rally on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial this past Saturday. It was the anniversary of Rev. Martin Luther King’s “I Have A Dream Speech”. Mr. Sharpton … Continue reading

Obamacare Costs $70 Million Per Covered Person In New Jersey

The federal government is giving New Jersey $141 million to cover claims under Obamacare. Now, you might think that this is not that much money considering the cost of health care and the slew of people that are going to rush to sign up. After all the left was telling us all how many millions of people were suffering without adequate health insurance. Continue reading

The Economy Should Not Be A Rube Goldberg Device

Rube Goldberg, for those of you who are unaware, was a cartoonist who is probably best known for his satirical sketches depicting overly complex and convoluted machines designed to perform simple and mundane tasks. In one of his cartoons he shows a contraption for a self-operated napkin. The man sitting at the table enjoying his soup lifts his spoon with one hand which pulls on a string which then jerks a ladle that in turn tosses a cracker to a parrot which then jumps to catch the treat upsetting a bowl of seeds on the opposite end of the perch. Continue reading

Murkowski Hopes And Prays

Incumbent Alaskan Senator Lisa Murkowski is hoping and praying. She is hoping and praying that among the some 7,000 – 8,000 returned absentee ballots that there are enough votes to put her pathetic hide back in the hunt for another term in the United States Senate. Continue reading

Alaska Update – Lisa Murkowski Going Down For The Third Time

Another update on the race for who will be the GOP nominee for this year’s US Senate race in Alaska. With 98% of precincts now reporting, Joe Miller leads Lisa, no really government run health care isn’t necessarily a bad … Continue reading

Please Prove Me Wrong Alaska!

Yesterday I predicted that Murkowski, who is still trying to portray herself as something other than a supporter of big and unconstitutional government, would fend off Joe Miller in the GOP Primary. The last data I saw had Miller trailing by 4 points which was a huge comeback from where he had been. I predicted that it was not enough coming far too late. I did not predict a blowout or an easy win for Murkowski like so many others were, I just predicted that the surge would be not enough. Continue reading

Prediction: Murkowski Will Win And Media Will Question Tea Party Movement

Here is a prediction. It won’t be a popular prediction among conservatives. And it should not be taken as my endorsement of Alaska Republican Lisa Murkowski. Prediction: Lisa Murkowski will defeat Joe Miller in today’s Alaskan GOP primaries. Further that … Continue reading

The Census Finally Cometh

Months ago we filled out our 2010 Census form. My family included only the Constitutionally mandated information on the enumeration of persons living at our Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania residence. We did not hear a peep from the Census about our audacity to not submit to their demands for senseless data. That was, until just about two weeks ago. Continue reading

Quick Thought for Today (August 22nd, 2010)

I hear that the builders of the Ground Zero Mosque just want to promote healing and understanding. The strange thing is however that they are certainly not very “understanding” towards so many people that see the proposed structure as just … Continue reading

The NRA, Poop Creek and A Missing Paddle

The National Rifle Association is not getting a lot of rave reviews from its members lately. In fact, by the looks of things the NRA is willfully taking a long trip up poop creek and doing so without a paddle in hand. What is the whole kerfuffle that has led to this ill advised journey? Well it revolves around Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. Continue reading

LOL! Maxine Waters Blames Her Ethics Problems On Bush!

The number of things liberal Democrats will blame the (oft liberal himself) President Bush for keeps getting longer and longer! Now it is Rep. Maxine Waters, facing an ethics hearing over her role in getting help for a bank her husband had a boatload of money invested in, blaming the former President! Continue reading

Quick Thought for Today (August 17, 2010)

Today liberals admitted that they have never read the Constitution and didn’t know that what they had been proposing for decades was unconstitutional. Their excuse? It was George Bush’s fault! Continue reading

Quick Thought for Today (August 16th, 2010)

For some strange reason, people keep asking me about what they should do to help save America. It is almost as if they see me as a leader. I am not a leader. I just look at the situation, determine … Continue reading

The Old Liberal Three Step

Anyone who has spent any time at all arguing with a more liberal minded person on issues relating to the powers of the federal government knows the old Liberal Three Step. The dance has been around for the better part of the last century and is the tried and true way for people who have no respect for individual liberty, limited government and our Constitution to justify any and every duty they want government to undertake. Once again we are watching this dance being performed over the issue of Obamacare. Continue reading
