Senator John McCain knows how to sound conservative when there is an election to be won. Send him to Washington DC however and you will get more of the same from a man who has repeatedly thrown up roadblocks to America’s sovereignty and spent money hand over fist because he doesn’t care about the constitutional limits on Congressional power to tax and spend.
McCain is leading J.D. Hayworth in Arizona according to the latest Rasmussen poll by a wide margin; 52% to 40% for the GOP nomination to run for Senate. But who is putting old blood and guts McCain over the top? The people that think government should spend on any object of benevolence that some leach may want.
Conservative GOP voters break evenly between the two candidates, while self-identified liberal and moderate Republicans favor McCain.
To quote Gomer Pyle, “SURRRPRISE, SURRRPRISE, SURRRPRISE!”
Liberals hovering withing the GOP is like a conservative taking up residence within the Democratic Party as I talked about last week. They are incredibly stupid when the other party is more in line with their beliefs. Although for conservatives the Republican Party is pathetic as a choice for a home too much of the time.
