Liberty Reborn

Americans are clearly torn these days. Majorities of Americans call for the federal government to tax less and provide fewer services. And on top of that they want government to reduce its massive deficits. The problem is that the majority of what the government spends money on are the ominous third rails of politics. I tell people every day who tell me that they are in that previously mentioned majority that unless they are willing to grab those third rails and be beat up by the poor and the seniors who are eating up the majority of our federal budget nothing will change. Boy do I get torn a new butt hole when those words come out of my mouth and told how we cannot touch any of these sacred cows.

I am looking at the numbers right now and I have decided to prepare a series of articles that I am going to begin work on after this week’s already planned topic. These articles are going to break down the numbers and present in completely nonambiguous terms the unthinkable solutions too many people just want to try and ignore. And none of them are pleasant in the least. All are painful. All of them cause someone to get hurt.

In the end America is going to have to pick one of these solutions because there are no other choices. That is, if they really want smaller government, lower taxes and the deficit paid down as they claim. The question left to be decided is simply going to be which one will Americans decide on and how many stones will I have to take bouncing off my noggin from those that are too pig headed to accept the truth and want to shut me up.

I am a big boy though. So I can take it.  Just do me a favor and watch this space.  Because it is about to get really nasty out here in what I like to call reality.
