Where can you sit around, take money for mostly illegal (unconstitutional) purposes and get rewarded with a nice raise each year as millions of workers are being told that they will get no such benefit? Answer: the Federal Government.
Yep, the overlords in Washington DC have rewarded federal workers and civilian contractors a raise for next year.
Congressional appropriators agreed Tuesday night to give civilian federal employees a 2 percent pay increase — which includes a locality pay increase President Obama didn’t want.
Government workers will get a 1.5 percent nationwide increase in base pay and a 0.5 percent average increase in locality pay. The final agreement goes against the wishes of Obama, who called for a flat 2 percent jump and no locality increase.
Gee, no real surprise that President Obama wanted to give his minions a raise while the nation struggles huh?
So remember when your Human Resources department sends out that email telling you once again that due to the economic circumstance at the present time (created by many of these same federal workers mind you) that you will not be getting a raise, think of getting a nice cushy government job.
Forget that the government is so far in the red that it is drowning in debt. Forget that most Americans vehemently disagree with most of what the federal government does. Forget it … I SAID FORGET IT! Don’t make them send the thugs over to beat you into your happy place.
