Harry Reid Wants To Put Crisis On Hold For Weekend?

You have to wonder if the liberals realize how stupid they look as they are crying, “FIRE!” from every window and demanding immediate action, and trying to scare people into blindly following them, but yet they conveniently need to attend to other things. Like counting their money.

Yes, it is true, according to liberals, that their version of health care reform, socialized medicine which has yet to work anywhere it has been tried, is too important to wait and must be acted on immediately. But as soon as there is money on the table, well the crisis they have been whining about suddenly becomes not so important.

ABC News is reporting that Senator Harry Reid is seeking to put a hold on the current debates in order to skedaddle to New Orleans for a $1,000 per plate fundraiser.

But Reid, who wants to get a healthcare bill finished by Christmas, urged Republicans on the Senate floor to forego a debate on several conference reports this weekend in order to give Senators and staffers the weekend off.

But in addition to shepherding the health care bill through the Senate, Reid is also locked in a tough reelection campaign.

And in that regard his desire for a weekend off is not so benevolent to other Senators and staffers.

It turns out Reid has a 1,000 plus per plate fundraiser scheduled for Saturday in New Orleans, according to one local paper, which also reports that Sen. Mary Landrieu, D-LA, a key swing moderate in the health care debate, will also be in attendance.

Remember this come election time please. Reid is more interested in money than anything else. Even his own made up emergencies.

Lots of things need fixed about the health care system here in the United States. But less, not more, government control is the answer.
