It has been a couple days now since President Obama announced his intentions to fight in Afghanistan for 18 months and then pull out. He tried to appease everyone and by the looks of thing he appeased none. The loony left who hate the thought of an American Presdient fighting their kindred spirits abroad are not happy that he is carrying on with the war. Those in America who believe that liberty, even if not their own, is precious enought to fight for see him as announcing to the world that if the leftists in Afghanistan can hold out for a year and a half they will be left to do their worst to the people there.
Obama’s Presidential Approval Index (the difference bewtween strongly approve and strongly disapprove) has remained very much unchanged the past week since Thanksgiving and remains at terrible levels for any sitting President. Rasmussen reports he is right where he was six days ago at -14.
