Lessons From Fort Hood
A Liberty Reborn Exclusive
Americans keep getting taught important lessons. Americans however also keep ignoring those important lessons. Who knows why exactly they do this. Perhaps they are just too stubborn and too desirous to live in a world that does not exist. We all know that fools abound and surround us so it would not be that hard to imagine.
So here we are once again with another tragedy that did not have to happen and blood spilled. This time it is the blood of soldiers as a lunatic follower of the Religion of Peace took out his guns and mowed them down where they stood. He did this as they prepared to head overseas to fight his radical Islamic terrorists brothers and sisters in arms who want nothing but everyone to kneel before them and their god.
How did this happen? Oh, let us count the ways!
As the days drag on and the families of these soldiers are left to pick up the pieces of their shattered lives, we keep learning more and more about Nidal Malik Hasan. You will note that I will no longer refer to him as Major Nidal Malik Hasan because for all intents and purposes he is no longer a member of our armed services in good standing and does not deserve that honor.
`
Apparently our military is still suffering from political correctness because with the information we now have at hand it is obvious that Nidal Malik Hasan should never have been in a uniform and among our soldiers. But no one wanted to do anything about the warning signs apparently. You know, there is a bureaucracy to appease and they certainly did not want to be seen as picking on poor Mr. Hasan because of his radical religion. Oh no … perish the thought!
People have tried to defend him by saying that he was an outcast because of his religion. But what do we learn? We learn that yes, that was indeed true. But it was true because he was continually talking about how right it was for Muslims to stand up against liberty, oppress others and justified suicide bombings! When the half story becomes the full story everything becomes much clearer as usual. But no one wanted to do anything, even as he stood before his fellow soldiers and ignored what he was supposed to be speaking on and ranted and raved about the glory of Allah.
Hasan was on at least one watch list of one government agency after he was found to be trying to contact members of terrorist organizations. Yet no one acted.
He was a troublemaker and lazy. Yet he was promoted.
He was a subpar soldier. So they transferred him to a base where others could pick up the slack that he would inevitably bring.
Oh the perfection and efficiency of government! The evidence that Hasan should have been drummed out of the service and then hauled up on criminal charges is overwhelming. But government bureaucracy did nothing. Americans can only wait and hold their breath until the same things happen with our health care which government now also wants to control. But still even as we have yet another failure of government to look at members of Congress and the mindless sheep that vote for them every couple of years are still ready to give them another chance to screw up our lives, pretend that problems do not exist, promote the incompetents and make us all suffer.
This is the way government works and why it should always be as small as possible. Because the smaller government is the less often it can screw up.
