Myths, Lies And Liberal Spin
Liberals are well known for their loose grip on reality. Nothing has shown that to be oh so true once again as how the liberal political machine and the sheep that follow it are still trumpeting the claim that New York’s 23rd District was a solid Republican seat that had been that way forever prior to Bill Owens (D) winning the seat in a special election! Some liberal loons are even claiming that the Republican dominance of the district dates back to the Civil War.
This is all part of their plan to portray the loss there by Doug Hoffman (C) as a great defeat for the conservative movement in America despite a very blue state (New Jersey) rejecting hard core left wing leadership and Obama’s personal pleas on the very same night. It also comes up because I was rereading this article which I cited earlier and noticed that the yummy brain author had repeated the same old lie.
The facts, as they say, however are stubborn things (source wikipedia).
In fact the District had only been Republican since 1993! That is not even twenty years.
Prior to that the District had been under Democrat control from 1979 – 1993. From 1973 – 1979 it was held by the Republican Party. BUT from 1923 – 1973 (that is 50 years for liberals) it was a Democratically controlled seat! In fact from 1913 through 1973 there were only two Republicans in that seat and they served a total of just over three years total. How in the world is this a Republican seat since the Civil War you wacko liberals? Whatever it is that you are smoking must be some really good stuff!
How can you even trust people that are so dishonest America? Do you like being lied to? Does it get you excited?
So the next time some liberal talking head or moonbat follower of all things Obama spouts this lie, tell them the truth!
