I have been telling people for years that the government really doesn’t like senior citizens. Oh sure politicians, especially very liberal ones, LOVE the 65+ crowd because there are all sorts of (unconstitutional) perks that they can hold over the head every member of this group come election time to guarantee their vote in favor of their reelection. But when it comes right down to it, they don’t really care much for the elderly. Let’s face facts, the elderly consume a lot of government resources (i.e. Medicare and Social Security) that the liberals would much rather spend on other things.
However, following in the footsteps of their heroes (Stalin, Hitler, Mao, etc.) that they would NEVER admit publicly are their heroes (but that their actions betray them as followers of such), they spend a large portion of their time lying about their true beliefs and lying about how much they really do love seniors. They also spend a lot of time lying about the other side of the isle in an attempt at deflecting attention from their own plans. Take for example Representative Alan Grayson, a raving moonbat from Florida whose major accomplishment is that he is a raving moonbat. Just this week he claimed that is was actually Republicans, who are mostly moderates politically, that want people to die as soon as possible in a rant brought on by the fact that the American people were not following in goose-stepping line with his socialist wet dream of universal government run health care. I suppose pointing out the fact that it is really people such as himself and the unhinged from reality liberal left in his own party that want people to hurry up and die and that he himself belongs to a major political party which expressly supports the killing of people at the earliest possible moment (i.e. abortion) would be rather important at this point. Of course like most moonbat liberals he has justified all that in his own mind as just being “compassionate.” Even President Obama himself has said that treatment of persons with terminal conditions or conditions where the cost of treatment simply does not yield a large enough return (determined by someone other than the person who is ill) should be left to gracefully wither on the vine and counseled about why it is really for the best. Of course which group does this most apply to? Yep, senior citizens.
Want further proof that the government, run by leftists and center-leftists from nearly top to bottom, doesn’t care about seniors? Just look at who the CDC thinks is not important enough to get the new H1N1 vaccine!
According to guidelines drafted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there are five key populations that should be vaccinated against the H1N1 virus:
• Pregnant women
• People who live with or care for children younger than 6 months of age
• Children and young people between the ages of 6 months and 24 years
• Health care workers and emergency medical service providers
• People between 25 and 64 years of age who have chronic medical disorders or compromised immune systems.
Whoops! No senior citizens on that list it seems despite senior citizens generally having more “medical disorders” or “compromised immune systems” than most of the rest of the population. Who loves ya baby? Not the government that is for sure! After all, face reality. You are just pretty much sucking resources out of the Treasury that the liberals covet and with the kind of deficits we are going to have from now on that is just unacceptable to the bureaucrats. The truth is that it is the liberals in charge would just rather you get sick and then hurry up and die. No matter how much they protest. And boy do they ever protest! Perhaps far too much.
