Omissions Abound In Discussion Of Van Jones Resignation

Listening to the news coverage of radical leftist Van Jones resigning from the radical leftist administration of President Obama it makes one wander how these people reporting can consider themselves “journalists” with a straight face. In nearly every report the sum of why Van Jones was under fire it came down to one of two points (but rarely both in the same report). The first point was his childish rant against Republicans when asked how they were able to get legislation passed with smaller majorities than the current Democrats in Congress. His response? A rant in which is answer to the whole thing was to call them assholes. Wow … what a deep thought! The second point brought up was that he was signatory to a petition which declared that the 9/11 attacks were allowed to happen (or perhaps even caused by) the United States. He has since apologized for that claiming he did not know what the petition actually said. Not once however did I hear the legitimate question raised about whether or not a man that signs something as simple as a petition with regards to the causes of 9/11 without reading it should be employed by the federal government.

And if you listened to the mainstream media this would be all you know about Van Jones. You might even think that this whole thing is overblown because everyone makes mistakes. But then you would be missing much of the story.

The case against Van Jones is actually much greater. In fact he has also come under fire for:
- Co-founded the radical black nationalist group Colors of Change which recently has tried to get advertisers to pull out of the Glenn Beck program on the FOX News network because they did not like Glenn Beck exposing the left wing agenda of Barack Obama and those that he has appointed to positions of power in his administration. A blatant attempt at Hugo Chavez style political bullying.
- Has recently advocated government wealth redistribution plans (ie. socialism)
- Being on the board of a radical environmentalist group which had as a top directer a terrorist from the Weather Underground
- Spoke at an event hosted by the Revolutionary Communist Party. In fact he was the headline speaker at the event in 2002 and the group called for the overthrow of the United States government and replacing it with a communist regime.
- In 2005 Jones likened the United States to an “apartheid regime” where he implied that only once the civil rights movement occurred were we a “fledgling democracy.”
- Authored a manifesto while with the group STORM (Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement) which promoted a government controlled economy and socialism

The impression that Van Jones wants the American public to get is that he has been taken out of context. If it had been one statement or one misstep that excuse might have washed. But the fact is that Van Jone has been a radical leftist out of the mainstream of America for a long, long time. And that my friends is why he was forced to resign and was ridden out of Washington by a wave of disgust on behalf of the American public.

President Obama claims that he did not ask Van Jones to resign. If true that speaks very true to what Obama’s beliefs are. Because if he was not offended by this man and his actions then it must mean that he agreed with him. Obama was damned either way. If he asked Van Jones to resign his judgement in hiring him in the first place would have been questioned. If he didn’t then he must not have seen anything wrong with a man that hates American and loves the failed ideologies of the left so much.

Either way, President Obama is shown to be not a capable leader.
