Will It Really Matter? Democrats Continue To Yield Ground To Republicans

When Republicans are more trusted than liberal Democrats on health care something is amiss. Oh, something is not amiss when it comes to who has the better ideas, not the right ideas mind you but definitely better ideas, there is no doubt that it is the Republicans. But so many Americans buy into the Democrats and their nanny state principles of “free,” “free” and “free” and grasping for more, more and more of what other people have and that they have not been able to freely convince those others of simply giving to them that it is amazing to see the Republicans take such a lead with this sort of attitude so prevalent in our society.

Rasmussen reports that for the first time in two years the Republicans are now seen more favorably when it comes to the topic of health care than the Democrats by a 44% to 41% margin. Add that to Republican leads on issues such as the Economy 46% to 40%, Education 41% to 38%, National Security 47% to 43%, Abortion 46% to 36%, Social Security 43% to 39%, Taxes 51% to 35% and Immigration 43% to 35% and things are not looking good.

The American electorate has proven rather fickle over the years. If things are not perfect they want to “change” things in the “hope” that they might become so. Over the last couple elections they have moved out the Republicans (who are certainly far from perfect and even competent) in favor of Democrats (who are even less so on both counts) and seen terrible things happen.

Almost immediately after the Democrats seized control of Congress in 2006 and it was clear they would not allow drilling for American oil to increase and ease our reliance on foreign oil, oil prices sky rocketed only to crash when the global economy, brought down by terrible liberal banking policies dating back decades, crashed. So Americans doubled down on “change” and elected Barack Obama but have seen no “change” but rather just a continuation of the same bad policies of spend more money than we have and then some.

Being so solidly in power there is nowhere for the Democrats to hide and no one for the Democrats to blame. They have the majority. They are bearing the full assault of the American public. But will it really matter?

There are a lot of “true believers” out there who really think that socialism, liberalism, progressivism can work and will reelect the same reprobates that put us in this situation again and again because of their blind and adoring faith in such plans. And if it does really matter and in the next elections liberal Democrats are swept from power, how long until the fickle American public gets conned again into voting them back in based on some slick pitch for a snake oil which promises to cure all their ills?
