Senator Arlen Specter ran scared at the thought of having to compete against Pat Toomey in the 2010 Senatorial primary here in PA. We all know how it went down. Specter, realizing that he barely beat Toomey last time around and seeing polls that had him loosing badly to Pat, jumped back to the Party where he was originally at the start of his political career and never really left; the Democratic Party.
Pat Toomey is, of course, a far superior candidate to represent Pennsylvania in the Senate unless you like the sort of big government socialism Specter has regularly supported throughout his career. And Pat is wasting no time showing voters how Specter has changed his stripes to suit those that he is talking to. Here is the video:
