Only 18% Of Americans Understand Economics

Only 18% of Americans understand economics. 67% like socialist ideas of people getting more than what they pay for. Which, as I have often said, proves that most of those “conservatives” that respond to surveys by claiming that they are “conservatives” are indeed not. There are a lot of you out there and sooner or later you are either going to have to admit that you are not conservatives or accept conservatism and grow up.

A Rasmussen poll is how I draw this conclusion:

Sixty-seven percent (67%) of voters nationwide say that people with chronic conditions such as diabetes should not pay higher health insurance premiums. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that just 18% think they should pay higher costs.

Those views are shared across partisan and demographic lines. Men, women, young, old, liberal, conservative, white and non-white all agree.

In short, 67% of Americans think that someone who uses more of a particular service should pay the same as someone else that uses less. Ok then, those fees and costs have to be made up somewhere so fork over the dough in terms of higher premiums for your insurance. What? You don’t like that idea either? You don’t like the idea of paying someone else’s way? Well better make up your mind!

It is just like automobile insurance. The bad driver who constantly is rear ending other drivers or blowing through intersections and causing accidents pays more because they cost the system more. If they don’t then you, as a good driver, have to pick up the tab in terms of paying more for your insurance.

Likewise, Americans regularly come down overwhelmingly against illegal aliens getting treated in American hospitals because they know that they pay more for every visit and for insurance when these reprobates skip out on the bill.

Face facts here. Unless government force is applied then you will pay more when you consume more.

But there is another solution for everyone. It is called charity. Instead of paying more money to the government to make sure that someone else who consumes more resources gets coverage for the same price as you do, and watching much of that money get eaten up by the bureaucracy, just donate the same amount to a charity that will fund their treatments. You are capable of acting without government force aren’t you?

So many of you claim to be “conservative” but your metal will be tested by the decision you ultimately approve of.
