U.S. Heath Care System Gets Thumbs Up According To Zogby Poll
84% of Americans are happy with the their current health care according to a Zogby Poll. The other 16%? Well who knows really. These numbers match many other polls which continually show that Americans are satisfied with the current system in place in the United States which is so heavily regulated that it is amazing any of us can actually afford insurance to pay for it.
It also spells doom for those in our government trying to convince Americans that the system is broken. Broken? You mean like Medicare (which is going bankrupt and cutting fees and watching as doctors opt out of accepting patients on it) or the VA?
Of course even though most Americans are happy with the system by a country mile, many of those that are happy with it still support screwing with it. But not a majority.
By 52 percent to 40 percent, voters say they are against the healthcare bill introduced July 14 to the House of Representatives, a new Zogby International poll reports.
That bill is so filled with government control over health care that it would make Hugo Chavez blush with pride. And need I even, once again, bring up the fact that there is no authority for such actions under the federal Constitution? Would it even matter to the 40% that think that such an overreach by our elected officials is a good thing?
No, it probably would not.
The good news is that Americans are against the plan. The bad news is those in Washington really don’t care what the people think or what the Constitution says for that matter. And why should they? They know that there are enough of your out there that will keep voting for them election after election regardless of how many times the go against either.
