Senator Alren Specter got scared when he say preliminary polling that showed he did not stand a chance against Pat Toomey in the Pennsylvania Republican Primary. So he bolted to the Democrats because he saw the writing on the wall and worried that he could not out sway the more conservative Toomey. Brian Kolb, New York State Assembly Minority Leader, is taking things a little bit too far. The Republican is calling on Les Moonves to fire David Letterman over the wholly inappropriate remarks about Alaska Governor Sarah Palin’s 14-year-old daughter (Willow) being raped by a professional baseball player during a recent trip to New York. Letterman has since claimed that the joke was directed at Palin’s 18-year-old daughter – but an explanation about how he could be joking about someone not with Palin in New York has yet to be explained. Going mostly unreported is the fact that the Democrats are having quite a rough time with their plans to scuttle the United States economy by imposing on it all sorts of regulation in the name of protecting the environment from the fiction of man made Global Warming. The problem is two fold for Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and her gang of left wing Representatives. First is that the Blue Dogs, which are more conservative but generally still quite liberal Democrats, are against her. If you are one of those Americans that listens to any of the liberal media outlets and thinks you will get actual news from them, you probably think that Doctors and members of the medical profession across the country are four square behind President Obama’s quest to nationalize/socialize the health insurance system here in America. And while it is true that health insurance companies are at least quietly supportive of such plans because they look at it as a way to pawn off thousands of high risk patients that cost them rather than make them money each year, the fact is that doctors and medical professionals are generally against the plan. Every time I dare breathe the truth about bureaucrats in government, that they are not there to help the people their programs are supposed to help but really just there to collect paychecks and that they will fight tooth and nail to keep their shallow, unfulfilling, and often unconstitutional jobs, I get inundated with angry emails from these same bureaucrats telling me how wrong I am about them. As evidence however of what I claim, let us look at California which is drowning in a sea of failed liberal ideas. These liberal ideas believe that you can take money from one pocket and put in into another and keep doing so forever without consequence.
