Obama “Deeply Concerned” Over Ousted Honduras Thug WTF!

President Barack Obama has a serial pattern of who he supports and who he condemns. In Iran, he initially tried to take credit for the happenings there as some great uprising and experiment in Democracy only to back track as it appeared as through the current regime of Mahmoud I-Need-A-Jihad stole an election and the government cracked down on anyone that dared protest. Then he became troubled and concern. Result, Obama stood with a dictatorial regime and against those that at least were trying to better their lots in life.

Fast forward to today and the happenings in Honduras and the military removing President Mel Zelaya from power. Ask your average American what they think about this situation and probably all they know is that there has been a military coup against an elected President of a Central American country. They probably also think that this was wrong and that the President should be reinstated.

But the facts of the matter which most Americans do not have tell a different story and the people must be educated. Honduras you see is similar to the United States in that it has a federal Constitution by which its leaders must abide an violate only at the risk of inflaming the populace.

Mr. Zelaya tried to do something quite afoul of the rule of law in that he tried to call a vote to amend the Constitution by himself. The problem is that he does not have this power. This power resides with a constituent assembly (Congress).

See, Mr. Zelaya wanted to get the Constitution amended so as to extend his reign in power. He is an ally of old Hugo down there in Venezuela and according to reports Hugo even sent him the ballots for this referendum. See, Hugo likes Mr. Zelaya because they are both far left wingers.

The Supreme Court of the country then ruled the election illegal and ordered the military not to count the votes and certify them. Gen. Romeo Vásquez Velásquez, the ranking military officer, told the “President” that he would have to comply so Mr. Zelaya removed him from duty. The Supreme Court then reinstated the General.

“President” Zelaya then led a mob (sort of like a Honduras version of ACORN) to where the ballots were being held in defiance of the courts and law enforcement officers that were under orders to arrest anyone carrying out or attempting to carry out the vote. Thus, “President” Zelaya was arrested.

This is the short story of events and leftists are claiming that the country has been taken over by a military coup when in fact it was “President” Zelaya who was attempting a coup of his own. Wow! A country actually fighting to uphold its Constitution and laws? Americans could learn a thing or two here!

But the story does not end here. Oh no. See, the military is not in control. The Honduran Congress convened in emergency session and according to law installed their president as the temporary executive and designated that elections in November will go on.

Chavez has threatened military action against Honduras after his buddy was ousted and Cuba has condemned the actions. Boliva has also condemned the so-called coup as has the whole Organization of American States. Obama’s response? Well, he is “deeply concerned.” Well thank you Mr. President!

How about something a little more forceful? How about taking a stand for the rule of law? How about saying something to show solidarity with people standing up for what … oh … that’s right. How can we expect him to stand up for another country standing up for its own laws when he cannot even stand up for our own and is actively subverting the Constitution on a daily basis?

Asking President Obama to get tough with thugs is like asking the fox to guard the hen house. Or in our case a jackass in charge of liberty.

I just got this off of Drudge. He has a link to an article by Breitbart were they are quoting Obama as saying this “coup” is “not legal”. No joke!

President Barack Obama says the weekend ouster of Honduran leader Manuel Zelaya was a “not legal” coup and that he remains the country’s president.

No word yet from Obama condemning the “President” for his actions as “not legal.”

If following a Constitution is “not legal” in Obama’s mind then that tells you every thing you need to know about him!
