Liberty Reborn

After President Obama’s first, and very tepid, response to recent events in Iran where it appears that voter fraud on the scale that ACORN and the left could only hope for pushed the national elections in Mahmoud I-need-a-jihad’s favor, the President appears to have decided that it was time for his own version of a strongly worded letter be sent. The joke here about the “strongly worded letter” is that liberals her in America always talk softly about any matter in which their fellow travelers are engaging in at the start. But as time rolls on and it is obvious that their fellow travelers are not listening to their pleas to stop showing the rest of the world what exactly their ideology is all about, they eventually get to the point of wagging their fingers at them and sending a message of essentially, “Now stop that and I mean it!”

After first trying to take credit for the so-called open and robust debate that we were told was going on in Iran with the recent elections, Obama is back peddling away as it is becoming obvious that no such thing happened. Instead the hard linedleftists in charge of the country are cracking down on the citizens protesting the re-election of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and more oppressive state control over their lives. So after praising the process at first, now Obama is wagging his finger and warning Iran that, “the world is watching,” and that, “We mourn each and every innocent life that is lost.”

Yet in typical leftist, fashion their deeds betray their words. They may mourn each innocent life lost but they do nothing of real importance to stop it. Why? Because that is how liberals are. Do as they say and not as they do.

We have years of history that show the strongly worded letter does not deter those that stand in the path of liberty. But it is still an arrow in the quiver of all left wing politicians and they fire it often.
