Sotomayor Not Approved Of By A Majority Of Americans
Well, Sotomayor is proving once again that Obama is certainly not a consensus builder. She is favored to be confirmed by only 45% of Americans even though 87% expect her to be confirmed according to a new Rasmussen Poll.
Notice the number of people that approve of her. It is less than the people that voted for Obama in November. Hmmm. Interesting. Obama certainly is not building any bridges with this pick and her racist views that as an Hispanic woman she is more qualified than a white man.
Liberals in the Senate are trying to ramrod her nomination through because they know that the more time people have to dig into her past the more they are going to find out about her and the less they are going to like her. Of course liberals are also concerned. Her position on abortion is a little sketchy and Souter has been a reliable vote for the anti-American, anti-Constitution, anti-Liberty camp for years. I have no doubt that Sotomayor will turn out to be just as reliable if not more so. But even some Obama voters appear skittish.
