Interesting “¦ Very Interesting “¦

Prior to the election of Barack Obama as president there really didn’t seem to be a lot of Obama supporters putting pride in their candidate and slapping bumper stickers on their vehicles. All that changed as I discussed in my posting “Obamaton Come Latlies?” where I reported on a distinct up tick in vehicles sporting pro-Obama stickers in December around the Pittsburgh area:

November 10-16: 89 bumper stickers
November 17-23: 108 bumper stickers
November 24-30: 107 bumper stickers
December 1-7: 120 bumper stickers

And for the current week, not yet done we are already at 130 Obama bumper stickers!

However those numbers are falling off again.

For the past several weeks I have been recording the number of pro-Obama bumper stickers seen on the backs of vehicles and the numbers are averaging about 25 per week. This is no small decrease in bumper sticker support. So what is going on?

Well, perhaps all the Obama supporters have been laid off and have no need to drive around anymore.

Or maybe they just are not as gungho as about Obama as they were a couple months ago and are not willing to show their support.

Have the bandwagon jumpers started to jump back off?
