FAILURE!

Barack Obama’s is quickly becoming the biggest failure in a long line of presidential failures. This of course doesn’t surprise those of us paying attention and that have studied history, but it will surely come as a big surprise to the Obamaton and the mainstream media. Liberals were all about Constitutional power grabs under Bush; even if they had to invent them. But when it comes to Obama they are silent.

Over the weekend Obama forced out GM CEO Rick Wagoner, something the left believes the President should have done because the government owns a lot of stake in the struggling and unprofitable automaker. The liberal unintelligentsia rationalize this unconstitutional overreach based on the fact that since the government has invested so many taxpayer dollars in the company that they are right to act like a tyrant over the company. Of course such “logic” skips over the fact that it was unconstitutional to spend the money in such a manner to start with!

Let’s review some facts. Back on September 26th, 2008 I specifically said that failure was the proper option! On the topic of allowing mismanaged companies like GM that made untenable deals with bloated labor unions, “Let us fail. Let us all fail! It is the only way we will learn!” Then on December 6th I derided Rep. Barney Frank for saying that bankruptcy was not a valid option for failed companies.

Now it appears that Barack Obama, someone that we are supposed to believe is so smart, is FINALLY realizing this is the proper course!

President Obama asserted unprecedented government control over the auto industry Monday, rejecting turnaround plans from General Motors and Chrysler and raising the prospect of controlled bankruptcy for either ailing auto giant.

Eager to reassure consumers, Obama also announced the federal government would immediately begin backing the warranties that new car buyers receive _ a step designed to signal that it is safe to purchase U.S.-made autos and trucks despite the distress of the industry.

Oh dear God! Even when he is right he cannot stop from doing something stupid! The government is now backing warranties? Say it with me Barack, “LET THEM FAIL!” Stop meddling. You are supposed to be so smart yet it took you how many months to realize that bankruptcy was a good option for solving the mess in Detroit AND you still cannot understand that government meddling is not the way to go? Even after it failed the last time and these companies have come around begging for more money?

On all this news the markets tanked. The Dow was down just under 255 points and major indexes were down three percent or more on the day.

There is only word that can describe this and it is “failure.” Someone needs to make a big banner and hang it across the White House and make it read, “FAILURE ACCOMPLISHED!”
