It Is True. Obama Indeed “Inherited” This Mess.

President Obama and his crew are making sure to pass up no opportunities to remind the American people that everything going on in the economy right now which he is dealing with are problems that he inherited. It seems to be one of the fall back responses to any tough question about what his administration will do moving forward as a way to buy time for a group of men and women that do not have the answers.

But while it is true that Obama has inherited an economy dragged down by a banking crisis and soaring deficits let us remember who he truly inherited these problems from. He inherited them from himself and his fellow liberals (mostly the Democrats) in Congress.

Yes, it is indeed true.

How many times did liberals (again, mostly Democrats) stonewall President Bush and others as they warned about problems at Fannie and Freddie? How many times did Democrats like Barney Frank excoriate anyone that dared to claim there was a problem only to later have to admit that there was indeed a problem? Democrats and other liberals still will not admit readily to their role in over regulating the banking system to strong arm lenders into making bad loans to persons unable to pay them or face intense regulatory scrutiny.

And let us not forget that when it comes to massive deficits, Barack Obama himself as a Senator voted for the massive banking bailout bill which has mortgaged the futures of not just us but our children and their children.

Barack Obama inherited everything. But remember who he inherited it from as he tries to wash his hands of the past and blame it on everyone else.
