The old joke goes that when God announces that he is ending the world some liberal rag writes the headline: “World To End Tomorrow; Women and Minorities Hardest Hit!” because that seems to be be the way that people who call themselves journalists think. Well, the way the financial markets have been going lately (thanks to liberal policies and the corporatists that though they could benefit by them) some might say the world is indeed ending in a sense. And with that news, California (aka Liberalworld) is telling liberals that their refunds are going to be delayed because the state government, that they keep voting for, is out of money:
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) – California’s controller says he will begin a 30-day delay on tax refunds and other payments starting Feb. 1 because the state is running out of money.
Controller John Chiang said Friday he must delay $3.7 billion in payments next month because lawmakers have failed to address California’s growing deficit.
With a $41.6 billion shortfall over the next year-and-a-half, the state is on the brink of issuing IOUs.
Liberalworld is coming to an end and it is the liberals and uber liberals that are hardest hit! I wonder how long until the lefties start protesting? And thus the laws of economics once again bit liberals in their own asses.
