Now here is something that I did not know. Apparently grasping how liberals love symbolism over substance, Barack Obama is symbolisming as fast as he can! He ois following the same route taken to Washington DC by Abraham Lincoln according to this report in the Washington Times:
ABOARD THE 2009 INAUGURAL TRAIN “” President-elect Barack Obama Saturday challenged Americans to pursue a “new declaration of independence,” paying tribute to history with his own four-city train tour retracing the path that President Lincoln traveled on the way to his first inauguration in 1861.
It is quite interesting in that it was Abrama Lincoln who freed the slaves and now we have Barack Obama who wants to continue to enslave anyone that he deems makes too much money to pay for perks for those that he deems do not have enough. In the South prior to the Civil War it was blacks that were forced to work for the betterment of others by the government. Now it will be the “rich” who will be forced to work for the betterment of others by the government. Slavery is slavery is slavery no matter how you cut it.
Perhaps in light of this, Obama should be taking the path Lincoln took backwards. Because right now his symbolism is 180 degrees out of phase with reality. Maybe we should just start calling Barack “Wrong Way” Obama!
