$700 Billion Bailout Goes Down In Flames!

Yesterday the House defeated the biggest bunch of socialist garbage since the New Deal and the Great Society. CONGRATULATIONS!

Thank you to all that called your Representatives and screamed in their ears until they listened and generated 228 NAY votes against the bill. Unfortunately for me Rep. Doyle, who is my Congressman, is a loyal socialist and voted with Comrade Pelosi to pass the bailout.

Yes, some market turmoil will happen while things shake themselves out over this, but the defeat is good for the economy because it does two things.

First it tells our elected officials that we will not allow them to pass massive welfare programs for corporations that they made fail by over regulating them. They will be told we will no longer accept blank checks being written to cover their asses when they make decisions for political expediency above and beyond their Constitutional authority and that we don’t appreciate them lying about who is the cause of this mess.

Second it tells corporations that they had better fight harder against government telling them how to run their businesses and ignore basic laws of economics simply because some nitwit in Washington tells them to. And if they do not then they will suffer the consequences.

This battle is not over. The carcass of this beast is not dead and will be resuscitated and brought back to life so do not stop the fight and watch what happens over the next couple days.

Once again, congratulations to the American people for waking up on this one and getting enough liberals to vote against it. But do not rest. There is much work to be done to keep us from turning even further into a socialist nanny state.
