With new polls showing McCain ahead or with both candidates in the realm of statistical noise of each other, the messiah is getting anxious. It wasn’t supposed to be this hard for him. So now he has sent his storm troopers out to go on the attack.

Barack Obama savaged his Republican rival John McCain Wednesday for running a dishonorable campaign that aides to the Democrat said smacked of “reckless” desperation.
In some of the most vehement attacks yet heaped on the Arizona senator by the Obama camp during this White House campaign, the Illinois senator said he honored McCain’s public service but not the manner of his electioneering.

Coinciding with a new poll suggesting McCain has overhauled Obama among voters nationally, Obama’s senior foreign policy adviser Susan Rice portrayed the Republican as a hot-head who could not be trusted to stay cool under fire.

McCain’s “tendency is to shoot first and to ask questions later,” she said on a conference call alongside former White House anti-terrorism adviser Richard Clarke, who called the Republican “trigger-happy” and “reckless.”

McCain, according to Rice, “cheer-led (President George W.) Bush’s decision to take our eye off the ball and start a war in Iraq that had nothing to do with 9/11.”

“This is a record that belies anything approaching sound judgment,” she said.

Want to talk about dishonorable? How about that lie about voting against legislation that would have protected infants born alive after a botch abortion Mr. Obama? How about calling people telling the truth about your radical position on support for making sure the baby was dead “liars” when they weren’t?

As for “cheerleading” for President Bush and the Iraq War, I think Mr. Obama had better be honest and admit that the reasons for it were:

1) Saddam ignored the ceasefire agreement after the first Gulf War
2) Saddam was actively pursing (and yes even had) WMDs
3) Saddam openly threatened the United States and his neighbors
4) Saddam funded terrorists
5) Saddam raped, tortured and murdered his own people, depriving them of their inalienable right to life

Even the “international community” in the form of the United Nations (an organization that liberal usually insist must be consulted) agreed that Saddam was in violation of his commitments.

This lie about people seriously making the claim that Iraq had something to do with 9/11 is just another moonbat talking point because they know they cannot debate the facts.

Obama is getting desperate and he is trying to whip up the moonbat base in hopes for a win in November. Plain and simple.
