Sarah Palin, Alaska’s Governor is quite well liked:

GOP Governor Sarah Palin’s job performance is rated good or excellent by 73% of the state’s voters. Only 6% give her a poor rating.

Palin is gaining a reputation as the kind of no nonsense politician Americans claim to be clamoring for in poll after poll. I don’t that I agree with her on everything she does, but she certainly is endearing herself to the public in Alaska.
