Despite mounting evidence that the Earth is not warming due to man’s actions much less even warming at all, it hasn’t stopped a plethora of Johnnie Come Lately’s jumping on the bandwagon.
Leaders of the influential Southern Baptist community in the US have declared their churches have a duty to stop climate change. In a statement, senior figures in the movement said evidence of man-made global warming was “substantial”. Southern Baptists are the largest protestant group in the country.
They follow other religious figures, including British bishops and leaders of US evangelical denominations, in backing action to curb climate change.
I’m sure that eventually we will see this “substantial” evidence and am positive that those that claim to have it will show it to us. But for now it seems to be locked away tighter than the secrets of the church of Scientology and only made available to a select few who are then sent out to tell us what it says.
And churches wonder why they are having trouble getting people through the doors? Maybe, just maybe, it has something to do with the idiotic things they do and the way they often treat the parishioners as absolute idiots.
But notice that they are now saying that it is “climate change”? Tell me. How do you stop “climate change”? Doesn’t the climate always change? Hasn’t it been changing since the beginning of the Earth? And since it has, how do you – oh great and wise sages – plan on stopping it?
You’re not God and you can’t mess with his creation. I know that you might think you are and that you can. But you can’t.
