Blowback Happens Regardless

When in doubt, get a catch phrase. For some opposed to certain policies, such as helping people in the Middle East throw off dictators, they have one that is a simple term; blowback. It’s become a term of derision hurled against those that they disagree with in order to justify why the United States should adopt a blanket policy of isolationist non-interventionism in world affairs and avoid any debate. Invasion of the American’ts

Last week a government employee being paid by the taxpayers showed an attitude that has become prevalent in America. Upset at possibly being assigned to Iraq and actually doing his job, State Department employee Jack Croddy became irate. Ranting about the dangers and how he had a family and whining about who would take care of his children if he were killed, Mr. Croddy displayed the prime trait of the American’ts. Continue reading →

Americans Ready For Another Domino’s Pizza War?

According to a recent Zogby poll, 52% of Americans support “a U.S. military strike to prevent Iran from building a nuclear weapon”. Just in case that is unclear, it means that the majority of Americans are in favor of war with Iran. Which means I have to ask the serious question of whether or not everyone that supports such an action is ready to stick with the repercussions of such a strike?
